Kevin’s Fried Chicken chili is a high-heat, flavourful pepper variety, originally selected by Kevin Bane from an Italian grower. It is a somewhat smaller version of the popular “Fried Chicken” pepper but still retains strong yield potential—plants can become laden with fruit such that branches may require support.
This varietal is described as “very hot and flavourful” and was likely produced from an intentional cross (and possibly an unplanned cross in the field). Its flavour profile reportedly includes a searing burn with brightness from citrusy-grapefruit notes, and a touch of floral complexity
