Padron Chilli Seeds – 25 Fresh Seeds
Padrón peppers are a popular and flavourful variety of chili pepper originating from the north-western region of Spain, specifically the town of Padrón in Galicia. These peppers are known for their mild to medium heat and are a staple in Spanish cuisine. Padrón pepper plants are relatively compact and can grow to a height of about 2 feet (60 centimeters). The leaves are a vibrant green, and the peppers themselves are small to medium-sized, typically measuring around 2 to 3 inches (5 to 8 centimeters) in length. The peppers have a slightly wrinkled appearance and come in various shades of green, ranging from light green when young to a deeper green when fully mature.
One unique characteristic of Padrón peppers is their varying levels of heat. While most of the peppers are mild and have a mild, pleasant flavour, occasionally, one or two peppers in a batch can be significantly hotter. This unpredictability adds an element of surprise when eating them, as you never know if you’ll come across a spicy one.
