Bleeding Rawit White × Maya Purple Passion F6 Chilli Seeds
🌶️ A Little Magic in Every Pod!
Some chilli plants produce beautiful fruits. Others have an impressive ornamental appearance.
Bleeding Rawit White × Maya Purple Passion F6 manages to combine both in spectacular fashion!
This fascinating experimental cross produces an extraordinary display of slender, upright chillies in delicate shades of creamy white, purple and soft peach.
Originally created by the talented Indonesian chilli breeder Agus Bangkat Widagdo, affectionately known to us as The Wizard of Crosses, this is another exciting example of the incredible diversity that can be achieved through selective chilli breeding.
At Red Dragon Seeds, we’ve been particularly impressed by the sheer productivity of this little plant.
Despite its compact, bushy growth habit, it produces an astonishing number of beautifully coloured fruits.
🎨 A Spectacular Colour Transformation
One of the most attractive characteristics of this cross is the changing colour of its fruits.
Young chillies begin in delicate creamy-white shades before developing beautiful purple pigmentation as they grow.
As the pods mature, the purple gradually gives way to a wonderful soft peach colour.
The combination of different stages of maturity creates a stunning ornamental display, with pale, purple-blushed and peach-coloured chillies appearing together on the same plant.
Fruit colours observed in our plants:
- Creamy white during early development
- Purple and lavender blushes as the fruits develop
- Beautiful soft peach at maturity
The slender, pointed fruits grow upright, giving the plant a distinctive appearance.
🌿 Small Plant, Incredible Productivity!
Don’t let the compact size fool you!
This cross has demonstrated remarkable productivity in our growing trials.
The plants develop a short, dense and bushy structure, with glossy green foliage supporting an extraordinary number of upright fruits.
When heavily laden with chillies, the plants almost resemble colourful miniature ornamental shrubs.
Their compact growth habit makes them particularly attractive for container growing.
We think several plants grown together in a large container would create a spectacular display!
They are especially appealing for gardeners who enjoy unusual chillies but have limited growing space.
🧬 An Exceptional Cross from Indonesia
This experimental chilli was originally created by Agus Bangkat Widagdo, a talented Indonesian breeder responsible for numerous fascinating pepper crosses.
The parent varieties are:
Bleeding Rawit White × Maya Purple Passion
The resulting cross combines distinctive fruit colouration, ornamental appeal and an exceptionally productive growth habit.
We are delighted to be growing and sharing this fascinating breeding line.
Full credit for the original cross belongs to Agus Bangkat Widagdo.
🌱 Experimental F6 Genetics – Expect Some Variation
Important information for growers:
This is an F6 experimental breeding line and should not be considered completely stabilised.
Although our plants have demonstrated the beautiful characteristics described above, individual seedlings may exhibit differences in:
- Fruit shape and size
- Purple pigmentation
- Colour progression
- Plant height and growth habit
- Productivity and heat level
These variations are a natural part of growing developing chilli crosses.
For collectors, experienced growers and enthusiasts interested in unusual pepper genetics, this is part of the excitement!
