Pepperoni Lombardo Sweet Pepper Seeds

Pepperoni Lombardo is a traditional Italian sweet pepper, also commonly known as Lombardo Pepper or Peperone Lombardo. The vigorous plants produce an abundance of long, slender, slightly curved fruits that mature from bright green to an attractive red.

The thin-walled peppers have a mild, sweet flavour and are particularly popular in Italian cooking. They are excellent harvested green or fully ripe and can be fried, grilled, roasted, pickled or eaten fresh. Lombardo is especially well known as a pickling pepper and is ideal for preserving whole in vinegar or oil.
