Aji Lily Teolinda Chilli Seeds – 10 Fresh Seeds
Aji Lily Teolinda is a rare and exceptionally attractive Capsicum baccatum variety bred in Sweden by Eva Ingelsson and named in honour of her grandmother, Teolinda.
Created from a cross between Aji Omnicolor × Aji White Fantasy, it combines beautiful ornamental colouring with the fruity flavour and productivity for which C. baccatum chillies are known.
The vigorous plants produce large numbers of smaller, pendant pods which undergo a spectacular colour transformation as they mature. The fruits develop from pale cream/green through yellow and orange, with distinctive darker orange-red striping appearing across the pods.
Its appearance is reminiscent of Sugar Rush Peach Stripey, although Aji Lily Teolinda generally produces smaller fruits. One particularly attractive feature is that the striping develops much earlier in the ripening process, so plants can display beautifully striped pods well before they reach their final ripe colour.
The fruits are juicy, sweet and aromatic with a distinctly fruity flavour and hints of melon. Heat is mild to medium, making this an excellent chilli for eating fresh as well as using in salsas, sauces and other dishes.
An unusual variety with a fascinating breeding history, excellent flavour and some of the most striking pods you’ll find on a chilli plant.
