Burmese Naga Chilli Seeds – 10 Fresh Seeds

Burmese Naga is a seriously hot and relatively uncommon Naga-type chilli, believed to originate from Myanmar, formerly Burma. Closely resembling the famous Bhut Jolokia family, it produces attractive wrinkled, tapered pods that ripen from green to a vivid glossy red.

The fruits typically reach around 5–7cm long and have the characteristic thin, heavily textured flesh associated with Naga-type chillies. Flavour is fruity and aromatic with slightly smoky undertones, followed very quickly by an intense, lingering heat.

Heat levels can vary between plants and growing conditions, but Burmese Naga is generally regarded as an extremely hot chilli, often reported around 900,000 SHU or more, with some sources suggesting plants can push beyond the one-million Scoville mark.

Plants develop into vigorous, upright bushes and can reach around 80–120cm tall under good conditions. Like most Capsicum chinense varieties, Burmese Naga benefits from an early start, plenty of warmth and a long growing season. In the UK it performs particularly well in a greenhouse or polytunnel.

Excellent for growers who enjoy rare superhots, and ideal for making intensely hot sauces, powders and chilli flakes.
