Manzano Rocoto Amarillo Chilli Seeds – 10 Fresh Seeds
Manzano Rocoto Amarillo (Capsicum pubescens) is a distinguished Andean pepper revered for its vibrant yellow, apple-shaped fruits and resilient genetics. This perennial species thrives at high elevations and cooler temperatures, exhibiting characteristic pubescent foliage and sturdy branching. Mature plants typically attain heights of 1.0–1.5 meters with a spread of 0.6–1.0 meters, making them well-suited to both field cultivation and container growing. Fruits measure approximately 2.5–3 centimeters in diameter and offer crisp texture with a balanced heat level of 30,000–60,000 SHU. Ideal for artisan hot sauces, pickling, and fresh salsa applications, Manzano Rocoto Amarillo provides reliable yields and exceptional market appeal.
In the UK, Manzano Rocoto plants can be moved outdoors from March–April once the risk of frost has passed. They will continue to fruit reliably through autumn, but a hard frost will be fatal. Although tolerant of temperatures down to 5 °C, they should be sheltered from cold, drying winds.
