Bryan’s Blood pepper, created by Eric Knight, is a hybrid resulting from the crossbreeding of Scarlet’s Chilli and Poblano peppers. These peppers typically grow in a slightly smaller size compared to traditional Poblanos but share a similar level of spiciness. Much like Fish peppers and Candy Cane Chocolate Cherry peppers, Bryan’s Blood pepper plants display variegated leaves, but what truly sets these peppers apart is their captivating color transformation. Initially green when immature, they transition into a vibrant red hue as they ripen, adorned with striking white and green stripes.
These peppers are classified as mild, with an estimated Scoville Heat Unit rating ranging from 2,000 to 5,000. They offer a flavourful profile that is both rich and slightly sweet, with earthy undertones.
