Pubescens - Rocoto

Pubescens, better known as Rocoto, is a unique chilli species from the Andes. Unlike most chillies, they thrive in cooler conditions, making them well suited to temperate climates such as the UK. Their thick-walled pods deliver fruity flavour with a fiery kick, while their trademark black seeds make them instantly recognisable. Long-lived under protection, Rocotos produce striking red, orange or yellow fruits and will reward patient growers year after year.
