Giant Yellow Cardi Scorpion is an impressive yellow superhot producing large, twisted and heavily contorted pods with the wicked appearance expected from Scorpion-type chillies. Pods mature to a bright yellow and can develop pronounced bumps, folds and irregular shapes.

One of the standout characteristics of this variety is its flavour. The ripe pods have been described as having a strongly tropical, fruity aroma, with notes reminiscent of orange and pineapple, followed by citrus flavours of lemon and orange when eaten. A light floral character can also be present.

Don’t let the fruity flavour fool you — this is a seriously hot chilli. The heat tends to build gradually rather than hitting immediately, developing into an intense tongue and mouth burn before spreading towards the throat.

The pods are generally sizeable with relatively thin walls, making them particularly suitable for drying, powders and superhot sauces.
