Primo Noir is an exciting F6 superhot chilli variety from Townsend Chilli & Spice, created by Jes Christensen from a cross between Primo “X” and Rouge Noir.

The variety has been selected with the goal of combining the distinctive, gnarly Primo pod shape and stinger with the beautiful dark foliage of Rouge Noir. Most plants show a strong influence from the Rouge Noir genetics, although lighter-foliaged and particularly gnarly phenotypes can also occur.

Different expressions have been observed during its development, including dark-blushed plants, pronounced stinger types and lighter plants producing heavily contorted pods.

🔥 This is an extremely hot chilli — described by its creator as a real “barn burner” and capable of delivering formidable heat alongside its striking appearance.

As this release is currently at F6, some variation in foliage colour, pod shape and other characteristics may still occur between plants. This makes Primo Noir especially interesting for collectors and growers who enjoy unusual and developing chilli genetics.
