F5 Mutant Blue Xmas × Candlelight Mutant × RH Lilac Chilli Seeds – 10 Fresh Seeds
Originally bred and advanced to F4 by the great Agus Bangkat Widagdo (Indonesia). Taken to F5 by Red Dragon Seeds (UK).
A show-stopping mutant annuum that looks like it’s from another planet. Dense, compact plants carry fine, thread-like leaves and masses of pods that blush from lime and lilac to violet, then warm through orange to a bright, glossy red. Flowers are star-shaped with delicate lilac hints, and the plants set heavily even in pots. Heat is medium with a clean annuum bite, but the real magic is the colour play and quirky foliage.
A note on the mutant story: this narrow-leaf form is often confused with Pimento del Deserto/Sahara, but it’s a separate line. The best-known ancestor, Candlelight Mutant, circulated around 2009 via Rauno (“Bluesman”) in Finland. Records trace seed back to Massimo Biagi in Italy, who received it from a Moroccan Bedouin. Some growers see a true mutation; others think it’s a desert adaptation. Either way, it’s chilli history you can grow.
